Comment T.S of kidney of Frog

i) The outermost layer covering the kidney is peritoneum.

ii) The uriniferous tubules are numerous and seen in various shapes and sizes.

iii) The uriniferous tubules are lined by glandtor and ciliated epithelium.

iv) The Bowman’s capsules are cup-shaped, double-walled structures.

v) There are afferent and efferent arterioles forming tufts or knots in the Bowman’s capsules.

vi) There are afferent and efferent articles forming tufts or knots in the Bowman’s capsules.

vii) Several collecting tubules cut in various planes are seen scattered throughout the section.

Comment T.S of Kidney of Rabbit

i) The uriniferous tubules are distinguished into two types namely-proximal uriniferous tubules and distal uriniferous tubules.

ii) The proximal uriniferous tubules are lined by ciliated glandular epithelium.

iii) The distal uriniferous tubules are lined by glandular epithelium but its border is not provided with cilia.

iv) In between the uriniferous tubules are found numerous rounded structures, the malpighian capsules.

v) Each malpighian capsule consists of a glomerulus and Bowman’s capsule.
