GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION:
Acridotheres are native to south asia. They are found in India, South America.
CHARACTERS:
i) It is commonly known as common mynas.
ii) The length of the body is from 23 to 26m.
iii) They have yellow bills, legs and eye skin with dark brown in colour and a black head.
iv) Males are slightly greater than females.
v) They are monogamous and territorial.
vi) Both male female incubate the eggs.
vii) Sexes are separate.
viii) Oviparous, diurnal
ix) They are omnivores that feed on marine worms, terrestrial worms, nuts, fruits.
ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE:
i) Plays an important role in pollination.
ii) Reduces the insect population in agricultural area.
